"I'm one of the three founders of Confluence. My passion for aviation started with gliders, and in 1973, I discovered the delta-plane. Then I turned to microlights, and paragliding. Currently I teach flying lessons at the Buzet aerodrome. Everything started after the death of Lucien Patriarche, the father of microlights. Pierre Saint-Germain, Luc Borreman, and I bought the farm, and the land of Buzet, then founding Confluence. We started with a 120 metre runway, and one hangar. Our first classes included lessons on microlights in a Chickinox, and in a Cosmos motorised deltaplane. In the 80's we contributed to the rise in paragliding in Belgium. In 1986, we created the first Belgian school dedicated to discipline. Our passion for aviation has pushed us to found the ASBL ("Aéroclub du Patriarche"). Over the years, we have innovated, and trained hundreds of students, notably in the use of the Chickinox Kot Kot, a Belgian microlight of which over 1000 units have been built. We have also been pioneers in the introduction of the paramotor in Belgium in the 90's, training the first pilots in this field."

"I'm Patrice, I'm 63 years old, and I've been a pilot for 27 years. For me, aviation is more than just a job, its a passion. Flying over the ground was a dream as a child, and has become a reality. The addage "dreaming your life away" is not for me. I prefer to live my dreams. Retiring from the army, I started to have lots of free time, so why not share this passion with others! Being an instructor for 12 years, I've given myself a mission to teach the best to our future pilots. Maybe a bit demanding, I ask for the maximum because those who can do the most, can do the least. There is nothing more gratifying for me than seeing a student take off for the first time, and, upon their return, see someone who's matured from this expericence, their face lit up by that sovereign feeling of having touched the sky. My greatest reward is seeing my former students next to the runway, still with the same passion that I've tried to instil."

"Impassioned by aviation, I have had the pleasure of being a microlight instructor for more than 25 years. Now well into my 60s, I'm still driven by the same passion for flight, and the desire to further spread it. Flying in a microlight offers us a unique freedom, and it's with enthusiasm that I share this experience with my students. At Buzet, I find an ideal place to satisfy this passion, thanks to quality aircraft, a friendly atmosphere, and a suitable environment to take to the skies."

Impassioned by delta-planes since 1975, I quickly began to learn this discipline in 1979. With the appearance of motorised delta-planes, I became an instructor in 1981, then an instructor in multi-axis microlights. My story is closely linked to the Buzet aerodrome, where I've been improving for almost 50 years. Co-founder of Confluence, I've contributed to the training of numerous pilots, both in microlights, and in paragliders, a discipline of which my colleagues and I introduced in Belgium. Accounting for the many hours of flight, I am a passionate pilot, and my students, both French speaking and Dutch speaking, appreciate my rigour, and know-how as an instructor. I remain active on the ground, sharing my passion with rigour and pleasure, be it teaching, or aerial trips abroad with other pilots."

"A pilot since 15, and aerobatic pilot since 17, I've been able to taste the joys of gliding, paragliding, speed-riding, helicopter flying, and professionally, those of military and commercial aviation. Incidentally, as one must pay homage to their masters, I was lucky enough to have some of the best instructors in the field. As the foundations of flight are crucial for the future, I specifically chose to become a microlight instructor in 2016, with all that this discipline (which is sometimes not very disciplined :) ) has to offer. My main flying equation is as follows: safety + rigour + understanding of the physics of flying (in layman's terms) = ease of piloting and FUN! Whether you want to learn the basics, improve your skills or convert your private pilots license into a microlight licence, I'd be delighted to share my passion for flying with you."
