Frequently asked Questions
Who can fly an ultralight aircraft?
Anyone aged 16 and over. How to get started?
The first step is to obtain your learner's license. You can find all the information related to the flight license above. After that, you can take theoretical and practical courses. How long will it take for me to fly solo?
This will of course depend on your personal abilities. Plan for 12 to 30 hours in three-axis ultralight aircraft. What are the theoretical courses like?
Ultralight aircraft theoretical courses, including nearly 25 hours of classes (in the evenings from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, once a week), are offered almost continuously. These cover: air regulations, weather, aerodynamics, flight techniques, and navigation. Our audiovisual method with slides is infallible, ensuring you pass all theoretical exams! These courses are taught by a certified instructor specialised in ultralight aircraft education. What are the practical courses like?
Each practical lesson begins with a pre-flight briefing with your instructor. Then you will join the aircraft of your choice and conduct a visual inspection of the structure. After a quick checklist, you will take to the air for about an hour, navigating locally around the field. After each flight, you and your instructor will debrief and your progress will be noted. Your instructor will do everything necessary for you, as our goal is to make you fly as best and as safely as possible. Can one specialise in a specific area?
Of course! You can specialise in the area that interests you at any time, whether it’s thermal flying, hydro, slope, or mountain flying. We are here to assist you at any time and at any stage of your training. Can I become an ultralight aircraft instructor myself?
You can, we are the only school offering a complete ultralight aircraft instructor training program (practical, theoretical, didactic, and pedagogical) and thorough preparation for instructor exams with the Aeronautics Administration.
